but punjabi is written in shahmukhi too, so thats no reason. not a single newspaper? that can’t be true..

There are some Punjabi Newspapers, but there circulation is limited. Here is link showing names of Newspapers published in different languages of Pakistan. It mentions two Punjabi Newspapers 'Khalsa Akhbar Lahore’ closed after partition and ‘**Khabraan’ started in 2004.
