i was impressed with fareeha parvez

i saw this fresh young woman on ptv world
and i was impressed with her style of singing and her voice
i found fareeha very different from other pakistani singer who are either very loud or sing right from thier nostrils whichis very very unplesant to the ears
but fareeha was nice and fresh .her songs slow romantic numbers were good
and her voice and the style of singing was very much indian
iam completly floored by fareeha

The Game Responds:

I assume you did not know, but she is the Pakistani version of Anna Nicole Smith(not anatomically, not at all). She married a very rich old man who is on the verge of dying. The Game congratulates Fareeha on her masterplan.I salute you.People,That Is All.

THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS CROREPATI,MILLIONAIRE,AND TRUE PAKI.I ASSUME ALL OF YOU RECOGNIZE THESE GREAT PERSONALITIES...

Game, Why didn’t she marry crorepati or a millionaire?

kabir, she has a good voice and I remember she had played a role of a mental girl in a drama a long ago and then started singing. Her song “patang baaz sajna” was quite popular.

The Game Responds:

For the first time on these forums, some one actually made me laugh.Well done Young Man.People,That Is All.

i luv her song..."patang baz sajna say"
she's sure has a nice voice and a lot of potential..

What do you mean that her style of singing is very "Indian"? Are you telling me that the pakistani style of singing is singing out of your nostrils? How prejudice! Have you heard Arifa Siddiqui, or Shazia Manzoor, Shabnam Majeed, or Hadiqa? They sure do not have nostril-sounding voices. Mehnaz, Noor Jehan, etc. all have great voices. Furthermore, the recording equipment (especially for filmi songs) are not very up to date, so the voices come out sounding like that. I've heard some singers sing in real life when they come to the US to perform and their voices sound great live but sound nostril-like on recordings.

heheeh…ur right gudia but kabir has a thing against Pakistani female singers..u’ll get used to it

pyari pyari pyari si guddia
well i have no prejudice whatso ever against the pakistani singers .in fact in my opinion pakistan is an amazingly talented country
and i have many heros who are pakistanis
mehdi hassan , nusratfatehali khan, gulam ali, are all legends and more recently
faakir has a good voice , warris baig is another good singer and haroons is also good
but i have always been critical of pakistani female singers i think they have been overated and esp madam noorjehan she was the mother of all nostril singers and her heavily make up face was a pain to eyes and her nostril voice was a punishment to ears
mehnaaz was ok ok .shazia manzoor is fine but she also has a bit of punjabi accent,
salma agha is another female singer who was overrated with a terrible nostriled voice
and i dont know the name of the female pujabi singer who sang that song called " dil da mamla " another horrible nostril voice
hadiqa is good and does not sing from the nostril but she is irritably loud and does a lot of aaaaa ooooohh yeaaaaaaaahhhyeeeeeaaa
which can be irritating some times but i liked her song "bohe barian" and she is among the better singers to date
another female singer which i adore is humera arshad she is one of my favorites she is immensly talented her song "gote chume chutiyanu" is one of my favorites inspite of singing some punjabi songs she does not sing from the nostrils. i like her
and my favorite singer is nodoubt fareeha parvez she is surely the best pakistani female voice i have heard so far and i like her style of singing too.
she is amazing.

Not everyone likes Noor Jehan type singers. Not really a huge fan myself but some of her stuff was amazing. Shabnam Majid might be more down your street Kabir.

fariha perveez…

See Kabir, as much as I admire Punjabi culture - Pakistan is more than Punjabi. What I mean to say is there are three other provinces, as rich in culture as Punjab. Now those "nostril-sounding" women you're talking about, as I understand, are all punjabi. Try listening to women who are not punjabi - like Shazia Khushk (Seraiki), Reshmaa (she's "gypsy" as my mom likes to call her). Oh and Pushto singers are also really good - even though they just don't get much coverage when it comes to Paki music. Then perhaps you might take back the grudge you hold against paki female singers.
