I wanted to change the world.

When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world.

I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation.

When I found I couldn’t change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn’t change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.

Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world."

Re: I wanted to change the world.

Sadly, people do change with time... The question is do they change for good? thought provoking, innit?

so why are you sad?:)

that is a pretextual answer to my observational question.

Now if you can happily answer the question, then I will be obliged to bow before you me lord.

i wont :>

which makes me determine you to be a sad person..

so, why are you sad? :)

lol. no

not everyone can bring the change, even a "thinking" to change the system, rather an entire infrastructure...is a huge blessing

i am not sad, or happy cuz if i am the chosen one then no one can stop me, otherwise i am more interested in doing things then revealing my plans (for all the haters to create further mess for me :roman)

IF you noticed, the emphasis and encouragement in the thread was about "changing one's ownself" .. so you are saying we can not change our own self? interesting...

then, if we are involved in bad habbits and we can not change ourselves, then, is it fair to say that we do not deserve to "reap what we sow"???? hmmm

we all are chosen one...! if we were not then, we would not have a life to go with.
