I know this thread doesn’t belong in this forum but since this is the forum I frequent most and know most of you, I’d like to share my joy with you all. 
I have just been awarded the title of ‘‘City Queen’’ for my city! I am thrilled and humbled, both at the same time.
You all are like my extended, dysfunctional family so I wanted to share my joy with all of you.. 
Mods, You may remove this thread in a day or two. I just wanted to share with you all

Thanks! It's a city pageant. Now I am eligible to run for state queen next year :)
They evaluate your community service, out-of-state service, volunteerism, service learning, overall personality, goals etc and pick one young lady to award the title to. The reign in for one year and consists of public appearances, ribbon cuttings, interviews etc. It's like a platform to be able to expand your work in helping others. :)
