Pakistan is the coolest. I was on earth.google.com and was trying to find K2 and found it too. but Pakistan from a satellite is amazing and gorgeous. Going to gilgit by car is an amazing trip. Glod bless pakistan, specially NWFP(pakhtun khwa).

yubin, Pakistan is a beautiful country with a wide variety of people, it has people living in extreme poverty and extremely wealthy people too, and has a huge wealth of traditions, culture etc
it is the only place I know where my "white" friends go and and come back totally in love with the country and its people.

I feel more comfortable here as a Paki than I do in Pakistan. In Pakistan i feel like an outsider, here I don’t. Here, I am what I am, Pakistani, Muslim, etc. My mittee is American. Here, ppl let you live. Your neighbors could care less of what you’re doing, etc. It’s easier to focus on religion, as it isn’t poluted by stupid cultural practices.

You're all talking about the scenery, how beautiful it is etc etc.... It just shows that Pakistanis have respect for nature, but not each other. Maybe scenery is beautiful, but when laws and culture are fked up, does it really matter exactly how freakin green the tree is?

Chill out girl...its not like Americans are hugging and kissing Muslims, Pakistanis all over the place. No one has a fked up culture and past than America. We are just poor and that's it....our bad luck :(

Man , I know America has its drawbacks, definitely. However, over here you choose what you want to do; you don't have hte level of social/cultural pressure as you do in pak, simply coz this is an individualistic society. I like to combine the best of these two cultures, Pakistani and American, and live life accordign to my standards :o

Well, I am not going to divert topic here but when you talk about choosing and hate between social class and culture America is not behind either. You haven't lived in Pakistan that long and may not be that old to really make a distinction between the two countries. Beside wealth, Pakistan and its people are as good as any other country. You are settled over here good for you...

Every place has its share of “fked up culture and laws” and Pakistan happens to be just another place on earth. Pakistan is not alone/unique in having f’ed up cultur/law.

man... I was born, raised here. I've made dozens of visits for the last 15 years and I can never live there, among the people, in that environment. Yes, it's my parents homeland and it is a part of my life, I can't imagine not ever going there again but settling, living, no.
Captain, I never said that america is wonderful and pakistan is the only bad place in the world. But the "benefits" that everyone seems to be stating over here, doesn't cut it for me. And if any1 thinks of me as the nightmare ABD, think twice before ever settling into another country. Maybe my parents never understood this concept when they came over here coz it wasn't so prevalent, but if u raise someone here all their life u can't realistically expect them NOT to be affected by their surrounding culture..
