It's an individual decision, it's YOUR choice. What is your heart telling you to do?
At any rate, you can always work for a while, see how it goes, and if it doesn't work, drop the job and stay at home. There are plenty of options for part-time stuff as well, so make sure you do your research first, then get the right job for you, and have fun with it.
Don't work just to work to show that you work. Do it because you want to.
