I am willing to do internship in any organization in any field of Information Technology /Finance /Economic /Banking /Accounting. for 4 to 6 months without any stipend. which school do u go to.??
1) get in touch with any intern coordinator in ur CS faculty.
2) look through job postings in your department.
3) ur secretary of dean of CS department is best source of getting to know which companies have come to look for interns in past, then contact those companies b4 they come on campus.
4) ur campus carer center is great source.
5) talk to senior level students in CS department, ask them for pointers...show them ur resume ask for help finding position.
basically if u do above solidly for one semester, you should be solid

in you previous thread you posted your CV and ppl were willing to help. It went nowhere from there. How can anyone help you if you are not willing to help yourself? the first step for you is to fix your CV.

*Mudassir, I am not sure what type of CV/resumes are used by banks in pakistan. I would suggest yoi tlk to someone in a bank there or someone from IBA/Lums and see what they have it written out as.
there are grammatical and composition errors but they can be fixed quickly. Get the right content and format. ppl here can help u phrase things well.*

I agree with X2. You can't just come on to a message board and expect folks to be helpful when you have not helped yourself by presenting a professional snapshot of yourself.
There are many people who want to break into my industry and I would like to be as helpful as possible, however they need to do their part and get their resume together, do some research on the industry/firm, and most of all, don't expect things to be handed to you. At numerous occasions I have had people ask 'for a job' after hearing about my work, while they have absolutely no idea of the job responsibilities/background suited for the work.
Having said that, if you plan on doing an internship in banking, I would recommend that you read a few books on General Banking, Corporate Finance, and Valuation. They can be at the introductory level, but they help you define specific interests that you will be able to delineate during the internship interview. All the best! Keep us updated.
