I want to be free from many things,
But most of all,
I want to be free from me.
I trap myself in my own small world,
A world of pain,
A world which drains all my hopes
And dreams from my everyday scenes.
I hold back my thoughts
And how I actually feel.
I keep everything bottled up inside
Until once in a while I
Just let it slide.
Somedays I seem to catch a glimpse of freedom
Through my bright blue eyes
That I try so hard to disguise.
But then the next day comes
And rips apart my insides.
People ask if I am okay and
I say yes because I wish
It was that way.
I have to admit though
That it really is not.
My life is so screwed up
And I can’t say it’s not.
