Off course, he can afford these things so he should… I don’t want to wait for that 1 day every year. How about take me vacationing every couple of months :)… DAMN, that’s the awesome life I am craving for

He should do all of those things but the reality is...life takes over. He probably does feel everything but can not spend his life worshiping you.
And I don't think there's anything wrong with that because the same thing happens to us women.
But taking some time out for your significant other is awesome and should be encouraged to the utmost IMO. Doesn't matter the occasion or lack of occasion - its fun. Nothing haram about it.

The point is…people don’t wait for 1 day every year But people definitely also use that one day every year as well. The anti-VDay brigade should relax now.
Everyone does the vacationing part…I don’t know many couples who don’t. Those are normal things you should be doing so you can get a break from work and life. Ye to aam si batein hein.

I didn't know people celebrate it like a proper festivity.
I am just curious, why?
i cant say for others but me and my family usually does not miss out any chance of having fun and if there is any occasion or a specific day which we can celebrate and have some happy moments then why not?

Celebrating valentines with family, 4 year old? Thats odd.
because i don't view it as a day that you should only celebrate with your BF/GF or a spouse.
you can celebrate it with all the people who hold a special place in your life.

I wish people that I love in my life and that I am thankful are there for me a "happy valentine's day".
Okay one other thing I do is I also like to go to the mall and watch all the happy couples walk by on Valentine's day. If they are truly happy and life partner material for each other, then I do think they are lucky to have found each other. I see that it's possible and it's nice to see it in front of me. Especially the ones that are still attracted and in love and care even after years of being together.
Like any other day really. I know ill be working long hours. And wish my youngest sis happy birthday.
