the more e-books become popular the more I have come to cherish my hardcopy books........
perhaps I'm swimming against the tide but I don't care.....I will rage, rage against the dying of the light.....
I love books too and agree that e-book cannot replace a hardcopy when it comes to feel, touch and especially sense of ownership - but for me that I have to travel quite often, nothing beats the convenience of e-book reader/tablet. In my Ipad, I carry a previous 1 year subscription of 6 different magazines and publications , plus a about 2-3 dozens Urdu and English books. I cant even lug 1/10th of that in hard copy format when I am traveling.
I've read it and trust me you're not missing much its just a bunch of random historical facts strewn together to make it appear "Secret" if you know your history and do you research you'll find out that half the claims in the book are wrong. Why would you even read such a book? Are you in to conspiracy theories? If you want i can get you the Audio mp3 version of it i have that.
reading it out of curiosity....and thanks but I don't think that I would listen to it......perhaps I will skim it and read only the parts that peak my interest.
A co-worker saw a book on my desk a year ago and expressed great interest in being able to peruse it. He asked my permission to look it over and I gave it to him.
He kept the book at his desk for several months (he sits next to me) and then I noticed that it was no longer there.
I referenced the contents of the book in a couple of discussions with him and he acknowledged that he has not had a chance to read it all as yet.
Now I want my book back.
The truth is that I have not yet read the book and it was on my desk because I had purchased it on a business trip and never had a chance to even take it home.
I asked for it back a few months back but it didn't appear.
What do I do to get it back?
You did't hear that; seriously!!!
"Those who offer to lend a book are stupid and those who return it are bigger"
Reminds me of a so called friend that took my copy of Quran pak, I thought I had lost it but then realised that she has had it all this time. It was a treasured copy as it was the one that I finished Quran on. Its been over a year and when I asked her about it she said oh yeah me and my husband read that on a daily basis, just havn't gotten around to returning it to you. I just can't believe that you read it everyday and you havn't decided to return it for over a year.
Am wanting to turn up at her door one of these days to take it but still can't believe it.
