Be patient. And take extremely good care of your hair. Take multivitamins, avoid exposure of your hair to sun and any kind of styling tools, cut down on chemicals, oil regularly, get hot oil treatments and so on.

Try Biotin Vitamins and Nioxin Shampoo. Herbal powderslike Shikai and Amla also help hair grow longer, but it takes effort.

Do you think I should get my hair trimmed...would that help them grow faster...cause I may have some split ends :S
(but then that doesn't help me with growing out my hair...I want a good 10 inches by the summertime!)

Biotin works but if u take it pls start with a lower dosage, I stupidly bought 5mg pills and they made me break out.. it's a very common side-effect apparently :(

You could wear extensions till you grow it out to that length....thats diff from a wig right?It will be mostly your hair....ooh andd oil your hair regurly, it helps.

not to be rude or anything, but there is no way EVER, you can grow 10 inches by summer time. i don't know the exact rate, but i think it's half inch per month or maybe even less, and you have to get those dead ends cut, or your hair with grow in a weird way, not in same length, and even if you do get to your desired length they will not look pretty. so start out with chopping the dead ends off.

Hair grows 1/2 an inch each month, or 1 inch in two months. So, you can't really make it grow any faster. But what you can do is take care of it. For example, oil your hair. The oil will nourish your hair, condition it, and make it easier to manage. When hair is dry and brittle, it breaks easily and more quickly, so it's like you're losing length. When hair is in good condition (soft, healthy, etc), it can grow longer.
Avoid blow drying your hair and using curling irons. The heat can damage hair and lead to split ends. Your hair is more vulnerable/weak when it's wet. So after washing your hair, don't rush to brush it or flip it up in a pony tail as the bending can cause split ends and hair breakage. Wait until your hair has dried a bit and use a wide-tooth comb (reduces split ends and eliminates tangles better). I would also suggest avoid coloring it as the chemicals can dry hair out. Drink plenty of water because hydration makes hair more elastic. Eat a healthy diet and include a multivitamin supplement (you can even look into vitamins specifically designed for hair). Also, it's said that using hot water to wash hair can damage it. Use luke warm water instead. I also think that the more you pay attention to something, the slower it goes. For example, if u plant a seed and keep your eyes glued to the pot, you'll get frustrated and think "Sheesh it ain't growing." But if you take care of it (water it, etc) and back off and let nature take its course, you'll eventually see results and it won't seem so drawn out (time-wise).

I dont think so...Ive taken Purvana before and it made my hair amazing but I didnt notice growth anywhere else.
