im thinkin about getting a symbol in chinese not sure of what though.
what do you guys think of tatoos and would you ever get one (or two!!) done?
ill be honest i am scared of the pain, and what if it gets all infected and stuff, and im worried what if my parents find out-if they did theyd be VERY upset!
so any advice 4 me?

i would never take a tattoo, cuz if you'll get one, you'll like it for how long... some weeks, months or even years ? after that you will get sick of the same old symbol that will stay on your body forever .
that besides the fact that its haram. this is what i read on a site about it

yeah but they do look cheap and tacky dont they?! they never have the design i want, and they always come in funky colours-which is soo not what i want.
just think bout it i want a simple black chinese love symbol on my stomach, not a colourful bart simpson one!! (no ofence to bart)

As mentioned already, it is haraam. But even if it wasn’t, I wouldn’t do it.
I find tatoos really disgusting, whether they are small or big. Just thinking about how they are burned into your skin makes me :yukh:.
And about the henna ones looking cheap: I have to disagree strongly here as well.

U know what its just a phase in teen-age life where u wanna do all the tatoo thingys and piercing, and it just fades away in matter of time, So its better if u go with temperory ones...
Hmmm tattoos (mules) are kewl, if you cant get a tattoo get a gadha or a ghora, maybe an oont.

it is indeed true that tatoos are haram in islam, becauz i have read i sunni beheghzati zewar that u are not allowed to hurt the body in any means possible and u can’t alter the body… etc
wat about muslim men who might want to use mehndi on their hands or feet etc can they!!!

one thing is permanent (laser removal somewhat fixes it ..somewhat)while the other is temporary unless using some mutant form of mehndi which is not public knowledge. :)

So girls are allowed to alter their body things like get piercings belly buttons ?
they are haram because , before islam ppl used to get tatoos of their gods on themselves thus they were banned , and further more you are not allowed to torture your body for any reason, because it is allah's ammant to you. therefore any kind of piercing is also haram , and its only hindu influence that we do it, in fact piercing was done a long time ago in india to women , just like it is done to cows and mules and horses, for the sole purpose of keeping women their slaves, the same goes for tatoos.

a tourist woman liked to do embroidry , she went to china , saw a design on the wall, liked it and got the design on the top of her shirt. the next day she went out and everyone looked at her and laughed, so she went to a guy and asked him, why ppl r laughing at her ?the guy replied" it's what's written on your shirt". the woman asked what do mean ? the guy said" fresh milk"......
