I think Pakistan.....

could’ve won the match had the fat Hair given out Giles the very next ball after he got Flintoff. have a read!

38.1 Shoaib Akhtar to Flintoff, OUT: short ball, from round the wicket,
tries to pull it, off the gloves to gully, Hasan Raza takes a
simple catch
** Giles in
38.2 Shoaib Akhtar to Giles, no run, short ball, down the leg side,
tries to play at it, looks like inner edge to keeper, shout for
caught behind, declines, replay confirms that Giles nick that one**

Re: I think Pakistan.....

Jatt, you can keep picking these things. England can come with Inzi's LBW Appeal, cause English would think that he was out. In that case English would have won. That's why its call a game not a legal contract..
Cheer up

Re: I think Pakistan.....

If we ignore Umpire's screw ups, we could've won if our own players had held catches properly in 1st inning or capitalized on stumping chance(s).

Re: I think Pakistan.....

Another thing which I noticed about Darren Hair's umpiring was his constant warning of Kaneria and Butt running on the pitch.
While Butt admitted that he was warned 3 times, Kaneria was bowling with the same follow through in the 1st test and was not warned once by Simon Taufell and Billy Bowden.
Sanjay Manjrekar also made the same observation yesterday.

Re: I think Pakistan.....

That was not out. I was watching the match and I would have been the first one to b*tch about it if it was out! Cricinfo made a mistake.

That’s a true statement from core of a sportsman

Re: I think Pakistan…

A few decision can go against any team. But it was the chances that we missed… There were like more than HALF A DOZEn chances wasted on that day. Else the result would have been different.

Inzimam was also not given LBW I guess three times in his innings. At the end we have to blame our selves for the result.

Re: I think Pakistan.....

CB^ Thats what I mean... whether umpires were helping us or them should be out of equation, it was ourselves who let the chance go down the drain.
