I think my hubby doesn't like my cooking!

Re: I think my hubby doesn't like my cooking!

NJ, oh my goodness!

Well her cooking may be a way to his heart, but definitely ain't making way to other parts of his body, eh?

Suchi:crying:

oki girls, stop cooking for your husbands

hahaha .. ok this is quite an extreme example to prove my point .. maybe he is having an affair cause the other woman is feeding him salad and soya based products ..

One woman wants him to look hideous with big belly, another wants him to be healthy and energetic thus feeding him healthy .. :D, maybe that is why he is in love with this other woman

Re: I think my hubby doesn't like my cooking!

Lol

I asked my hubby why is he having an affair? (because that was making me feel awkward too - because if he knows someone who is having an affair he might get dragged into it some how too..)

So I made a fuzz about some stranger having an affair - hehe

My hubby agreed with me, that what that guy was doing was wrong, because that guy was also spending money lavishly on the other woman - who is spanish =( (The guy and his wife are Hindu.)

so its Bean Burrito vs Rajma and Roti …

:hmmm: tough call

very good indeed agar woh baher tumhin bhi khilatey hain or khud bhi khatey hain great:lifey:

yaar aisa meray sath b hota tha...whenever i used to cook alu methi ya koi b subzi then my husband had to say like 100 times k sookhi bnana not shorba no masala...muje to piyaz tamatur daal kur bnanay ki addut thee...then i switched to diff. things..mainay steaks bnaaye...every chinese dish..diff soups...biryani wo b prawns ki(my in-laws dont like prawns)...chicken pulao( meray in laws mai kum bunta hai) ...dum ka keema...dum k pasanday..achaar gosht...yani hur wo cheeez jo meray in laws mai nai bunti ya buhut he kum bunti hai...meri saas master hain kofton mai wo mainay upni marrried life mai 1 ya 2 baar he bnaaye hain:P phir when i went to pak to aisay he baaton baaton mai i asked my mil...k wo haleem kaisay bnati hain...phir subzi simple alu matur gajur ki..alu methi kaisay bunti hai...and now when i cook subzi he really likes it bcz i cook it like his mother cooks...aur kuch nai to jub saas pakanay khari hoti theen to mai saath khari hojati thee so i came to know how she cooks...and now my husband praises me alot infront of his family alhamd....

Re: I think my hubby doesn't like my cooking!

How can this be a bad thing Hareem?

Now you dont have to cook so forget about slaving in front of the stove all day

You dont have to clean the kitchen because there was no cooking done in there

You dont have to compete with MIL's cooking

Yeah, Im not seeing the problem here...

hmmmm well…it’s our rule that we don’t eat out more than once in a week and my MIL lives far away. So yeah i cook everyday.

Interesting part is that my own sons don’tenjoy their daadi’s food. :dixsi:

they dont enjoy then be happy the ball is still in ur court:)

Re: I think my hubby doesn't like my cooking!

im so used to cooking for one person only that i dont know how hubby will like my super fusion, self-taught cooking/experimentation.

Re: I think my hubby doesn't like my cooking!

honey, ill tell ya wot. i m in the same boat. many a times i think he dusnt like my cookin. i mean i have some dishes that i cook really well... like biryani, keema, tikkay(he accepts i m expert at this) but other day to day food, i dun get the feelin hes much of a fan. i mean he dusnt dislike it either but i get a feelin when he compliments his mother stuff or his relative's cookin that maybe i m not gud. he has told me while fightin many times that tumhe pakana ata kya hia... just 5-6 dishes thaz it. and then he tells me to count how many i cook... which is true i dunno many dishes. maybe just abt 10 dishes. so it can b v hard but trust me, it helps when other ppl compliment me. like some days back his relatives are like, my tikka's were really nice and i made them like a professional. so i dun think ure a bad cook.... kuch toh acha banati hi hogi na? ;)

Nightmarish topic for me… :bummer: Why didn`t I see this thread before :hmmm:

:cryb:

:yahoo: :yahoo: :sadiyah:

:hayaa:

That is really nice of him :) I would be behoush after eating your food JUST KIDDING! lol

When he eats my MIL's food, his happiness seems genuine.

Hareem, its hard to explain but everyone develops a liking to their moms food, especially sons. Even if you were a better cook than your MIL (which I doubt, AGAIN JUST KIDDING lol) he might still prefer his mom's food. I am sure over the years it'll change. You are being considerate to him and that's good, and he compliments your cooking so all is good! Smooth boat ride, I'd say.

Re: I think my hubby doesn't like my cooking!

I need to link this thread to psyah :D

Re: I think my hubby doesn't like my cooking!

AE
you can't do this to me........

you are right…i cant :bummer:

Awww ask him to cook for you. j/k

Ask him to teach if he knows or you MIL or SIL or your mother or sister or use cook book.

Ask him what he like and aur masla kum ya zada. Yani aap kay khanay main kia kami lugti hai unko wo maloom karain.

Un say poochain unki ammi kia banati theen unki pasand ka aur kis tarha aur maska laga kar apni MIL say seekh lain.
