Whenever I think of Jagjit Singh i think of Roman cos he hated him! I got addicted to his ghazals when i was 20 and would spend many a miserable afternoons at the boarding school listening to them and missing my family. Fortunately I am not reminded of that period everytime I listen to them. I had a whole mp3 cd with tons and tons of ghazals by jagjit and chitra which I haven;t been able to find for the last 2 years 
it was such a good cd.
Anyhow he is coming to perform here in April so I’ll definitely be going. Last time his show was on a friday and I thought it was that saturday instead, told several of my friends that it was on saturday too, i mean when do we ever have friday concerts? So we were all ready to attend it on saturday when saturday morning a lucky friend of mine who hadn;t checked with me previously called to tell how good the show was 
This time we arent; missing it.

Jagjit is mesmerizing.. I have also attended his concert in St Louis few yrs back.. he is king of ghazals.. pass on few ghazals to me... i am re-juvinating my inventory

I came back to check a PM aur meri nazar paR gaee. Femme, how are you doing? 
You know, as much I’d love to never have to think about Jagijit-friggng-singh I can’t help it The ullu ka pathat also reminds me couple of people, one of whom made me promise to take her to Jagjit Singh concert whenver he’d to be in the town. Good thing we broke up and I won’t have to go through the torture.
But yeh, the ullu ka patha does remind me of her now and I don’t think it’s going away anytime soon.
I like couple of his ghazals though that I think I won’t mind listening to among few others:

Hai Allah, Romannnnnnnn!!! Im fine. tum sunao, kahan ghaib ho? i love those two ghazals too and esp his ghalib wali ghazals which i think u hated in particular. Bas roman hamari pasand aik hoti tau...tau...tau...bas na hee poocho, ye na thi hamari qismet...

haha Fayz. For Roman even opening a browser, typing gupistan.com realising it doesn;t work, typing in gupshup.org realising that doesn;t work either and then doing a search on google, clicking on paklinks, logging on...is quite a workout- Dekho tumhari parhtay parhtay hee saans phool gei :p

haha! Femme, actually I didn’t vist GS for a couple of days also, since I had gupshup.org in my bookmarks…I got sick of the site being down, one day I decided to pack my bags and go on a search via google. Voila! the url had changed and nobody informed me.
knowing Roman, I think he would want the URL to come to him instead,

He is definiely a great ghazal singer
