when did I say that? stop putting words into my mouth. I was talking about the average non-muslim AMERICAN/BRITISH. it would be VERY umcommon for them to have only slept with one person in their life…in fact it would be a miracle…their idea of a date is completely different to what a date may mean to desis.

These are precisely the kind of issues I try to avoid by just saying I have a gf, and not telling people about arranged marriages. Common reactions are “Dude, I used to have a really hot Pakistanian girl in my high school, and she got married at 17” or “Yeah, had a girlfriend during my freshman year of college, her dad married her to some FOB in Pakistan”. Now seriously, I suddenly become the person whom they are looking for explainations about these kind of arranged marriages. I am not going to have that kind of an arranged marriage.

Let them make fun behind his back, what they think shouldn't matter. One shouldn't drop their morals just to please others. If they do malign him with backbiting then they're not really the type of people worth worrying about I would say.

It all depends on how you explain it to them...
My marriage was arranged and at that time I was working. Yes, alot of people had ALOT of questions but i really enjoyed explaining each and every question. Actually i think i learned alot during that time about their culture and about our aswell because some questions they would ask and i didn't know the answer, I would come home and ask my father and do a little research and try explaining it ot them.
my advise to you is try to accept things and learn from your experiences, and dont be ashamed of who you are. :)

by 25, most guys become comfortable with who they are i.e. their religion, culture, background, etc. You seem to be an exception to the rule. Good luck on the road to acceptance :k:

Oh well I am very sorry that I don't feel comfortable with that one aspect of my culture known as arranged marriage. Please feel it in your hearts to forgive me because I am ashamed of it.
