Usually at my lowest moments I find little things that give me hope.. be it a beautiful rainbow .. be it little heart shaped confetti found on the floor of train stations..these little things give me hope.. and make my ickle heart lift for a little while..
Have you had any signs/ symbols of hope? and have things turned out well for you..? How have you felt when you’re heart is breaking for someone but there is no hope.. or you think there’s none until… “…”

been through a few points in life where i thought that i had really screwed up and that was it.. but Allah has saved me everytime.....that's the only sign i look for .. whenever my heart feels heavy i standup and pray an extra nafil and ask Allah to help me. It works 100% of the time! :)

I know .. when you pray to ALLAH ji .. ti's like a burden lifted from your shoulders.. it's almost as if you let go of your worries knowing there's someone ready to catch you if you do fall.

I have seen signs before or what I thought were signs of what decision I should make....But in retrospect I see that I made them what I wanted to believe....eg when we wanted to sell our house...a deal fell through at the last moment...and months later we got an offer during Ramadhan. i took it as a sign...during Ramadhan must be good. Anyway, things turned out pretty bad...and I think in my desperation to sell I made it look like a good sign. In conclusion I think the are no such things as signs when making decisions. Use your head to guide you.
However, I believe in the miracle of a smile, children's laughter, a beautiful sun rise, birds singing...those are to me signs of a Supereme Being who has given us His treasures.

A child smiling or a baby sleeping in my arms is the most beautiful thing in the world.. That is real hope..
I agree with you that we make signs more significant when our hearts are feeling somehting strong.. but certain signs just give hope nothing more..
I found a heart shaped confetti yesterday stuck in chewing gum.. made me smile.. then 2 minutes later a woman was crying asking for £2.40 to get home.. I thought she might be a druggie or a beggar but i'll give it atleats if she was truely in need then I won't feel bad for not giving... only to be waiting for a coach when a guy comes asking for £2.40 too..
Arrrrghhhh liars.. but atleast my conscience is clear.. I would have bought chips with the money anyway so I guess I've saved on weighing heavier today :)

When i was going through what i thought was the most hardest part of my life, i was walking to my train station and on my over, the fresh green foliage and the new leaves on the trees, made me feel i wasnt looking at all that and instead was dwelling on what was no in my control. Just looking at the beauties of nature, brought a cooling effect on my eyes and hence calmed me in a different way. Subhanullah for the beauties of the nature!

This reminds me of a book called The Alchemist by Paolo Coehlo.
It's a short book all about a boy who follows the omens and signs around him - to his destiny - it was really inspiring
