I saw a Pakistani pop music program from 1989

On STN 3…

Gosh it floodedddddd me with memories…

First of all i was SHOCKED to see how masoom te shareef Ali Azmat looked…no body in my family even recognised him but me…he must be 19 or something…he actually had a decent haircut and was looking innocent by his face :mash: i cannot get over it that he used to look like such a sweet kid and so shareef we were wondering what happenned to him now and specially why he had to change that hairstyle which definitely suited him much more n looked much more decent

Jupiter’s was doing a live performance of ‘yaro yahi dosti hae kismat mein jo mili hae’ and he was the lead singer…anyone remember that band?

and then there was a vital signs performance and ofcourse everyone looked so much younger  salman ahmed used to be in VS then…he also looked really shareef n decent…and Rohail had short hair and they all were wearing such regular clothes and had such masoomiat on their faces…

it surely was a trip down memory lane…

You talkin abt this prog called 'Music 89'?? Yeah that was a swell program....really awesome!

o man i remember when babia came out… sigh

those were such good old days :crying:

my fav oldie is Hawa hawa...when i was 7 or 8 it was hawa hawa all the time...

Yes IRem I saw it recently too. Ali Azmat us wearing a stripy tee shirt and his jeans is tied up on his tummy with those ankle high sneakers. Hilarious! His dance moves are so innocent too. And the ladies in the audience with their blue and gree eye makeup, big dangling shiny earings, glossy lipstick and afro hair :hehe:

Femme Fatale I know right mummy and I were also noticing the funky hairdos :hehe:

pkpride1 yup hawa hawa…a good song it is indeed

I think someone had given me a cassette of that program back in the 90's and I really enjoyed it :) Nazia and Zohaib I think hosted the show along w/ Uncle Sargam. Or atleast that's the cassette I used to have. It had that Jupiters song on there too :D Good old early Pakistani pop.

Those days were the real start of good pakistani music...These days it's on top...not many albums released in recent days because of cricket, but once it's over many great albums are to come...

i know… i remember listenin to that song 24/7

ohh those days when i was just starting to get interested in music...Vital Signs...! i miss them realy!
