For the moment, the mods give a wide lattitude to the topic-starter on matters such as closing or deleting threads. Especially, if a person posts his/her personal pics, we provide them all support in matters of removing harsh comments or closing the thread altogether. These matters are also covered in Image Gallery policies. Threads are not automatically deleted after a fixed time-frame, but rather decided on a case-by-case basis. There are no plans, at this point, to change this process.
