Hi I am new to this world of gupshup. The reason i am here is my wedding dress. I want to borrow ur knowledge and blv me i’ll return it with bundle of thanx.
I want to get some idea’s about fabrics, embroidery and tailoring. I want to make my wedding dress myself coz i don’t have that kind of money to blow on designer dresses. A little help is needed. I want to make a double shirt flowy kind of maxi for my wedding.http://awomensmag.com/fashion/dresse...lection-2012-c. I want to use these color combinations, it will b very kind of u if u judge n tell me wt kind of fabric is dupatta in this pic. What kind of fabric should i use for upper shirt coz all the work will b done on the upper shirt.http://www.anabellas.com/Products.as...Id=10&pageNo=7.I am talking abt the one mehreen sayed is wearing. And what kind of fabric should i use for the bottom shirt to make it swishy n flowy. I dont want to do embroidery on the bottom shirt.i want something close to the pic u cn c in the link pasted above.u can c its a front open shirt the opening starts from the side but i want to make mine to start from the middle like every other front open dress. My wedding is indecember inshaAllah so i want to use velvet also. So give me ideas and plz suggest me wt fabric to use.

both dresses are good but copy as such whether u go for 1st one or second, second dress which is open form the start keep it as such, all the best:)

The Nomi Ansari is really lovely. The other one has way too many things going on and doesn't look nice.

Well, when i open either of the two links, I see the same dress. Not sure if its my browser or that's how the links are. Anyway, for this dresses, you can use Silk and Chiffon for the dress with jamawar borders. Use pure fabric so you can get them dyed in any color you want. Plz help wt fabric should i use? My friend said jamavar for the bottom shirt n crinkle chiffon for the upper shirt. I want a rich look so would i get that from crinkle chiffon? I want to use the color combinations of nomi ansaris dress melony pink with royal blue and can u ppl suggest me more colors that blend well with these colors.
