I went against all ODDS , and ordered BLACK sherwani with Thread, Crystal and Diamante ( red , champagne colors ) work on it ( while every1 wanted to order traditional gold or off white)
Deposit is paid and its half way through … in the making process ( cant change it , unless pay for new one )
I ordered black cz it looks so stunning and stands out next to red lehenga !!
i read somewhere that color of sherwani is choosen with respect to time of function and complexion…
white in complexion … and the function time are night time … 8pm …

I don’t see what complexion has to do with the grooms sherwani colour. Just ignore what you read, obviously we all have different view points on everything, which is why we never manage having everyone happy. As long as you’re happy with it, it’ll turn out fabulous.
And anyways, I can see red and black working wonderful, especially since it’s a night time function, it’ll give it that extra sparkle and really stand out.

I always imagine my Prince Charming in a Black Sherwani with silver filgiri buttons, with a red rose tucked in a button-hole:flowers:, with a mop of curly hair and a couplet of ghalib on his lips So now you see, Black Sherwani is the epitome of ultimate elegence in Men’s wear.

Black looks awesome. I always prefer black sherwanis over off whites or golds
My husband's sherwani's gonna be from our side and I am planning to get a black velvet sherwani with a lil dull gold kaam on neck and arms and not the heavy kaam just a lil light embroidery so it looks elegant. And red patkha or turban something. Any idea where can I get one ??

husband wore a black sherwani and it looked gorgeous. please do not opt for a white shalwar, have a black shalwar too. and also, dont go traditionally red in your pagri.
