My question is about Hazrat Imam Mehdi A.S.. It has nothing to do with my beliefs but lately I have been in discussion with some of my friends and they left me thinking, there is NO ziker about Hazrat Imam Mehdi A.S. in Quran Pak. I don’t know. Is it?? What is with the concept of Arrival of Hazrat Imam Mehdi A.S.. I myself believe that there will be a zahoor of Hazrat Imam Mehdi A.S. but thats what we have been kept telling.
Can anyone quote me any Quranic Verses that confirms his zahoor? Whats the concept behind that.
Our main sources are quran and sunnah, and there are numerious ahadith about hadrat mehdi.
Mehdi is not some thing about core islamic aqaidh, its rather informing us about some one who will come and reinstate the forgotten deen. Munkir of hadrat mehdi is rejecter of ahadith.

[61:9] It is He Who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, that he may proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).
Thos verses are clear and self explanatory, pointing towards the news from the old scriptures that foretell of coming of 'Messiah' and through him the battle of triumph of truth over falsehood will be fought. Quran is confirming the news from the scriptures. Hadiths of Prophet Mohammad and his household have confirmed the Messiah as the 'Mahdi' who is from the sons of Imam Ali and Fatima Zahra. It is widely narrated by Mohammad wa Aalay Mohammad that his arrival will be practical manifestation of the following verse which the Mahdi will also recite upon his arrival,
