Hi, I have no use for 'lawn ki suit' living on the east coast of the US usually when I wear desi clothes its to weddings or dawats and usually need the formal stuff. I have bought Jewelery from PK but it seems that in the big cities at least there is lots of good costume jewelery for cheap the only things I really like to get from PK are bangles (kanch) and steel cause they sell them very expensive here. My big thing is east west stuff, I love tops from Khadee and other boutiques so would def. buy that online. My problem with east west stuff is that most of the time when desi designers do western stuff they don't do it right but Khadee is one of the brand that has gotten it right and the stuff is very wearable. I'd be really interested in western evening wear with desi 'kaam' etc. A few v. high end designers do make this but its out of the price range and even so its not really as good as it could be. But summer dresses, long dresses or kurtis would be great!

I think one market that is still untapped is "modest" western wear. I think its really hard to find a dress to go an office functions or a non-desi wedding that is not low neck backless strapless halter etc! I pretty much pay whatever is necessary for dresses with sleeves or have to pay extra at the seamstress to get sleeves or back and front coverage put in. There are Christian and Mormon sites that offer modest wear but those are kinda ugly, Muslim sites mostly only offer hijab and Jalabia....I think there is a gap in the market that someone could fill.

^i agree. the only problem is the cuts. you need people skilled in tailoring western clothes and unfortunately 99.9% of desi tailors have no clue.

Oh yea that's how it seems! like Utsav Saree's has an "indo-western" section but the designs are totally dumb! I'll post some pics of stuff that might be good though. I think if a designer had good knowledge of stitching they could train Pakistani tailors some of whom are so damn talented!

This is a really simple outfit. If I could customize it w/ a small neck and cap sleeves it’d be golden! Add some nice Kaam instead of this awful fabric and it’d perfect!
