I develop lessons for Urdu language learners and I need someone (or a few people) to write 4-paragraph essays or articles on various subjects. The language level should be the kind of everyday, ordinary (but proper!) Urdu language you would use when speaking to, say, a 10 year old. The lessons are for grown-ups, but they aren’t ready to handle really complex grammatical structures yet, but it can’t be babytalk either. Just simple ordinary language.
Imagine taking a bright 10 year old to the Badshahi Masjid and explaining about what you see, the different architectural parts, etc.
Or an essay on various traditional occupations. Or “A Day in the Life of…” Or the importance of X cultural feature in Pakistani society. Or a tour of Karachi or Delhi. Some bit of geology or history that interests you. I need a simple description of the 5 pillars of Islam, such as you would use to explain them to a child (no heavy masses of Arabic terms, please.)
I also need simple, natural dialogues, like, what one can expect to hear when you go to a bank, or bargaining for something in the bazaar, or what to look for in buying a carpet.
I might specify the grammatical feature to focus on (adverbs of place, or future tense verbs, or expressions of time, etc.)
I can pay $30 USD per piece, via Paypal. If you are interested, please PM me.
