I am asking because I've been warned by people not to get too involved in helping these sort of people out because its usually a scam. I was initally really torn, and given that she's a desi and muslim, and pregnant and on her own with no money (according to her), I really could not stand the thought that I can't do anything for her.

But there are risks. So I put the topic open to you guys to see what I can get from a more objective community. That's all. No one is trying to take the roop of khuda, thanks very much.

For all those wondering what happened, she never showed up at the masjid, and I told dry cleaning uncle jee to leave me out of whatever he decides to do or not do.

There was one pregnant lady … or an old aunty with a big belly (couldn’t distinguish actually), and she was laughing and smiling and having a jolly good time socializing with everyone. She never mentioned anything about looking for some girl or rent problems, as I was eavesdropping on her as best as I could.

shrugs Maybe the drycleaning uncle got to her before I did.
