I need a Recipe for Chicken Egg Rolls

im looking online and i dont like the ones available, i know this lady who makes it she’s desi but she uses noodles, chicken, carrots and i think other veggie’s. If anyone can give me a recipe that consists all this please post it, and please post exactly how its suppose to be made =) thanks!

i can give u the recipe......

5 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
2 or more cups water...

mix them all good. make a nice thin paste.. Btw.. the thinner the batter .. the better the batter :-p
start by putting 1-1/2 cup water you can add if u think its not thin enough..
heat the frying pan non sticking... apply oil with brush or tissue paper... heat it well and reduce the flame to minimum... pour the batter, when it covers the base of the pan... pour the remaing back to the batter mixture.. just little is needed to cover the base... first 2-3 will go wrong then you will get the hang of it... you'll make 15 approx.

Stuffing..
make chicken chowmein and fill it in and seal with the remaining batter or flour mixture..

Gucci I mame them but idon;t usually add noodles. You ccan add a bit to make the filling stick and not fall out when u take a bite. So if u like u can add some boiled chopped up noodles to the filling. This is how I make mine.

Add a little oil and salt and cook minced meat till the liquid is dry. Add some chinese salt too. Once cooked and dried add chopped(small) onions, finely shredded cabbage, scallion, salt if u need more for the filling, black pepper and a little soy sauce and cook till the liquid from the veges is dry again. Sprinkle with some shredded carrots which should just turn tender in the steam, no need to cook further.

Now either prepare the batter and make ur own pastry or then use chinese rice wrappers. The home made batter is crisp from the outside and a little soft from the inside, I absolutely love it but it takes time and makes a mess. The readymade ones however are easier to prepare, very crispy and can be frozen. Seal the wrapping with whipped eggwhite not some flour/water glue that some people use. Deep fry and devour :yummy:

Oops I forgot about the chicken part. I guess u can substitute shredded boiled chicken instead of minced meat.

The homemade batter, what's ur recipe? What do u cook it in, and how easy is it to fold and glue with the eggwhite?

As for the chinese rice wrappers, are these the ones that are square shaped, paper thin, and are called "spring roll sheets" ? The come in like 25 a pack.

Yes Sehar the rice wrappers r those but u get two kinds. One is slightly thick the other is paper thin. I have both at home and will try to see the packaging difference.

The recipe for the batter is the same as sadaf’s. Pour some in an 8 inch frying pan and as soon as it cooks a wee bit from the bottom pour the excess out real quick back in the mixing bowl. The egdes will lift a little. invert the pan on newspaper with uncooked side down. put filing in centre wrap up. I don’t use glue for these cos the uncooked side is pretty moist and sticky so it sticks right away. Damn I gotta make them soon. Weekend I hope.

Gucci chinese salts gives its own flavour more than a salty taste soi use both. I dunno what u call it. Its the white crystaline kind of stuff in a see-thru package with red writing on it :bummer:

Sehar u want to avoid the egg roll wrappings. They turn out bubly when u fry them. The srping roll wrapping are what u want to use. I used the eggroll ones for ravioli (steamed)and it turned out pretty good.

We just stirfry small pieces of chicken breast, cabbage, carrots and daniya, with salt, pepper and vinegar, then wrap and fry.. yum..
