I feel bad that I was ever associated with this site. Even though I and many others I guess, had great time here in the past for sometime.

I never felt it. Because the next day when I woke up I was banned and unbanned.
As to who unbanned me. Not sure But I had a message from a poster telling me that I was unbanned and then I looked for earlier messages that I was indeed banned.
To be specific: I was banned for a short time for speaking the truth against a channel manager/admin member? exposing her for her hypocrisy.

Let me give you a quick overview, which I normally dont do since there is no point of it but since you actually put this whole thing up, I’ll say it out loud.
When Azkar asked me to get on board with leading GS, it was far more dead than what it is right now so first off, if anyone having the impression that it was running on full speed at that time, O paaleese… get off the high horse.
There were many many posters with banned statusand not only timely banned, actually banned for life. To me it made no sense. I have a pure democratic mind, mostly beyond imagination of many and I strongly believe on second, third and more chances. We all are human and need to be compassionate while treating others as adult with a hope that they’ll show maturity and respect as well.
Yours truly convinced Azkar to perform a blanket unban. As a result many many posters came back INCLUDING the one you are referring to, in this thread.
But I immediately paid a price for that. That is, many seniors/elders of GS leadership got pissed at this, some vocally some silently. They abandoned the ship right when we needed them most (as mentioned the place was dead and we needed to revive it). Im sure they’ll read my this note as well but whatever.
Now i’ve absolutely no remorse in that decision. We got plenty of good posters back. But we also got not so good posters back but its OK. Not everyone has the same aptitude and attitude.
As said, it included the said poster you been referring to. And after that he got temporarily banned again (& again), and you can notice the number there. 4 official bans and many unofficial ones and i’m not even pointing out the warnings lol. Ofcourse they timed out so the person was back again.

Let me ask you this, during the time when he got 4 official bans in just last few years, did everyone else start posting all sensible and we got the gem of content here? No we didnt. No. My banning and immediate unbanning is not related to this thread. I told you and you know that was a very different scenario altogether.
During the time of it’s peak and before, people were permanently banned and nothing happened to the flow of this site.
Naughty people and “utter trolls”, butchers of thread, were banned (temporarily or permanently) and this made people trust admin team if someone misbehaved consistently they will not have to deal with the person, threads after thread and eventually they will be open thread without being butchered.
Please admit you you have created atmosphere in which members are just fed up or tired of seeing irrelevant talk and posts out of no where and thread ends up nowhere.

Bobby1 is not a troll. He knows how to contribute to a topic and does that here and there but barely, to avoid being seen as a spammer. Then he quickly returns back to his agenda. Yes, he has an agenda. He has a deep seated hatred for Muslims and tries to turn every discussion to promote that. The only problem is that he is pretty incompetent at that. For example, I’ve noticed nowadays he is trying to portray himself as a Muslim, which he isn’t, but he thinks people forgot the posts he revisited or were removed by admins.
I’m happy to learn that the users you mentioned are gone. I’ve seen a few similar ones gone too since I joined. The global monsoon is concluding and flying ants are getting scarce.
