Is double cream heavy cream or half and half or something else entirely?
Double cream is the heavy cream - in UK its the blue container. Its got a thicker consistency than signle cream.

When i made it, i jst put it in a deep steel dish and froze it which i shouldnt have done as its difficult to scoop it out! I didnt need to stir it but you can after couple of hours to evenly distribute the nuts etc...
u can try to freeze it in ice cube trays or those mini muffin baking trays....this way they come out easily and u wont have to struggle with it while scooping...!
