Would you ever say it even if you didn’t mean it or believe it to be true? For instance, someone says it to you, and you don’t want to hurt their feelings, so you just say it to be nice or you say it out of guilt?
Or do you think it’s not right to throw those words around, unless you actually mean it with all your heart?

Think before you say it and say it till your confident that you ll get a possitive response ...but these days I L U has become something normal where it holds no meaning ...or feeling ...
but if its said in all honesty and sicerity then depending on whom it is said to the effects will be major ... and the success will be yours ..
but if its to calm someone down or not to hurt feelings then you shouldnt say it cos you dont mean it .. I L U has a deep meaning and if you say it but later on the other person may feel betrayed in a way that why say it if you didnt mean it .. so its better to think before you blab em out ..

No, I would never say it without meaning it, even when I mean it, I'd think a lot before saying it, because the circumstances, time, people, attitudes, people...everything changes! So I wouldn't like to be called a fickle minded person by saying it once and denying it at another time...so I'll use these words only when I'm absolutely sure that my feeling won't change with the passage of time...and also when I'm sure that the other person loves me too! :)
And no, I wouldn't use this expression only for the sake of the other person's feelings.

Ok if im saying it to my friends like "awww that present is so sweet. luv ya" that doesn't count.
But the only other time i would say it if i actually meant it.

i can't say it if i don't mean it. doesn't matter who i'm saying it to. friend or whatever. even if i really do love em, but at that moment they are really irking me, i can't say it.

if you don't have that feeling say the truth openly, if you hide you are hurting him more then by saying NO to him :)

ok thing like this has happened to me.. a girl in my college said that she loves me and i realllyyyy think she does ... i said that to her that i love her too.... ill be outta college soon, she'll be moving to some other place... and things will be normal again but..while in college i didnt want to hurt her feelings....cuz she really do things for me that makes me think she loves me a lot.. i just hope she gets over me...
