i think jhoomar looks nice only if worn by itself.. either wear just jhoomar.. or just tikka.... wearing both just makes it look over the top to me.. dunno y..

Are Jhoomars only supposed to be worn during a wedding or very very special times or can it be worn during other functions too. Would it look too gaudy to wear it at other times?

I wear my shaadi and waleema jhoomars sometimes just for effect. I have also bought a fake one with coloured beads just to match the outfit that I wore on my husbands first cousins wedding. Everyone loved it ! Because people class it as wedding jewellry no one expects to see it worn otherwise. I like to be different !!:queen:

ive been to plenty of UK weddings in the last few months, and me, my sisters and friends all wear nice simple outfits and dress it up with jhoomer jewellery. It looks lovely and is very effective

i would do a neutral color like maybe a wine color or golden.....it will go with more things and how often will u change the beads or get hte chance to after wedding. im wearing blue and i got a neutral set....the same color set and outfit make it too much....a different color really brightes it up....i would stick to a neutral color.

This is what i was wondering when looking at these pics. I had bought jhoomars but never wore them for my wedding or my walima and would like to wear them to look different, at some dress-up party we may have in our area.
