i always knew this day would come but not so soon…
ikilled my ipod after 5 days///
now whenever iplugin ipod to my computer it opens
the itune software but doesnt show the ipod
and before this started happening it got corrupted
and then i restored it and everything was fine and
now this.
and btw ihave a 30gb u2 ipod and ican get it replaced…
but the shop is too far and idont wanna go…
so if anyone can help me.

the only thing i can think of is that the firmware got corrupted and needs to be restored/re-installed on iPod

but itune software isnt showing ipod even after i plug it in ...
when i plugin the ipod the software runs but doesnt show the ipod

I think; It recognize the device however it cannot get in ' sync with iTunes in order to transfer/run & show ipod in my computer.
try the firmware upgrade like suggested earlier, I think you will be alright and if I were you, I d go to the shop (far away= 2 hours or more) and get a new iPod.

well it shows the ipod in windows explorer and also in wmp ... just not in itunes.

actually iwent to buy zune but they didnt have any at hafeez centre.
it was either zen or ipod...
