^ India are one-day champions but IK's reference was to the 8 straight test defeats suffered by India at the hands of England and Australia
The point is no international side should lose that many games in a row (whatever the format)

Its all momentum - when India was doing well, it was doing well everywhere (in all formats). Now that they are struggling, they are struggling in all formats. Part of it can be blamed on the churn in the team. Older players being phased out, new ones coming in and taking time to adjust but poor planning on BCCI's part cannot be ignored.

The crisis has been averted, there won't be any "7 games in a row" embarrassment, but Imran Khan was referring to 8 TEST defeats in a row. TESTS! Now THAT is a major achievement!

First of all, its not 7 or 8 games in a row.. there was a WI series between the 2 horror series.
And second, its not just poor planning or new players adjusting, its been just bad performances by the first preference team in AUS... sure in England too many of the main players were injured in one game or another.. but that wasnt the case in Aus when the first preference team was available.
