okay first thing first… my mother tongue is urdu does not mean I am an urdu daan… may be I can speak better urdu than others but then again yahaaN baRay baRay jughaa dari paRay haiN :smiley:

second thing, what you said is a hindi idiom as far as I know and what I know is that it goes like:

Raam Raam jupnaa, parayaa maal apnaa

you know Raam is the god in hinduism.. so basically it means Showing that you are very religious by your tongue but with your deeds, you do all the bad things you can… logoN kaa maal haRap karnaa so to speak as per idiom..

Maal haRap karnaY par yaad aayaa, yahaaN mod logoN kay dhaagaY bhee haRap kar jaataY haiN… :silly:

What exactly does "tera bera tarjaye" (1) and "haye mere sadkay jawan" (2) mean?

1) what is tarjaye and what is bera? I know what "tera" is but do I have a tarjaye?

2) wat is sadkay jawan?
