Re: i have a kabooter problem
I dont know what color and kind of kabotars you have so i cant tell you how to distinguish a male from a female. Maybe if you'd post a pic i'd be able to tell you what to look for.
In winter, the best thing is to add a bit of whisky to their water, it keeps them warm. But like just a tiny drop.
If you are keeping them outdoors, a thick cover like a car cover to keep 'em warm during nights or windy days.
Kabootars do catch cold and its called lakwa so you have to be careful of their environment.
Third answer is where actually did you get the kabootars, if you got them from a pet shop, then even though they can lay eggs, the eggs donot hatch into babies.
However the incubation period for a pigeon is a between 2-3 weeks.
If the egg wont hatch for some reason, the kabootar will eventually throw it out of the nest and destroy it or abandon it.
so let nature take its course.
Donot touch the egg as birds abandon their eggs if someone touches them.
Also make sure you dont get ants near their cages cause ants like eating eggs :D
