I hate the terms 'Bollywood' and 'Lollywood'

I blame the people in India for coming out with something so unoriginal. Then apnay Pakistani bhayee bhi kam naa thay. Woh Indians say impress huay and they showed even more unoriginality ’ lollywood’.

I just hate this term! I know that the great Amitabh bachan doesn’t like this term either and gets offended if somebody uses these terms!

Good point yaar. why don't we try and think up something better?

In West Bengal and Tamil Nadu and Kerala.. they have jollywood and some other names pretaining to the same.

really?

I never liked lollywood either. But hey, if the industry is stupid - its going to get a stupid name (definitely in lollywood's case)

I guess cuz we hear it so much, but bollywood doesn't sound to weird to me

Having thought about this, I'm not too sure that Lollywood is too bad after all. Bollywood on the other hand sucks too bad. It's a case of imitation whereas, by the time we get to Lollywood it's more of a piss take in my view. Lolly sounds a lot better than Bolly anyway.

They were so eager and impatient to change Bombay into Mumbai, they forgot Bollywood

Bollywood sux bigtime!!

Interesting!! what should they call it though?
Maybe somebody who knows Bomabay FIlm Industry's history can come up with a good name.

Then Pakistanis, who copy Hindustanis like 'Choti Betis' can change their film's name too!!!!

For the record, Bollywood is a great name.
'Lollywood' sounds like 'Lollipop. Brings images of Kids sucking Lollipop.
So the phrase sucks in every sense of the word!!

Puleez!
Bollywood is as patehtic as Lollywood. Whatever you assume it sounds like, the truth is that its a stupid term. It implies that Bollywood is 'inspired' by Hollywood.

Great stars like Amitabh Bachan have denounced the term!

what about LollyAdda? it could even have it’s own theme tune sung to the tune of Sajjad Ali’s foot tappingly brilliant Laary Adda song

How about "film industry"?

How about just staying with Lollywood, who cares if it sounds silly, Bollywood and Hollywood may be originals but they sound as much as lame as Lollywood or Dollywood, and I don't think closing down the film industry would effect anything, there are worst things in Pakistan happening rightnow than Lollywood.
