He can back is arrogance with the records he has achieved.

BUT to lose to BUTT..a rookie captain,, would and should deflate some of his arrogance.

But I dislike Sangakarra more.
He might be a good batsman and an impressive speaker but he sure is a sore loser and arrogance-personified when his team wins. Learn something from Jayawardane you.

Jayawardane was light years ahead of Sangakarra in attitude.

Absolutely agreed. Sanga has become annoying since he became the captain. Sore loser absolutely.

Jayawadane has class.

all this hate against Sangakkara is only because he spoke the truth about test rankings and india's position on it.

Ponting is in decline as a batsman and I won't be surprised if the forthcoming Ashes at home is his last test series

Folks I do not think Sanga has a point because the only two teams who have done well IN Australia during the last decade are South Africa and India

  • South Africa won three-test series 2-1 in 2008/9
  • India drew four-test series 1-1 in 2003/4
  • The rest have all been beaten there

Infact India have the best record of any team against Australia during the last decade winning 7 and losing 9 of the 22 tests played between the two sides since 1999/2000

perhaps you should not look at every post with the same old indo pak prism..

sanga has gotten a bit arrogant and annoying since he became captain.. before his recent comments.. he was a whiny lil boy in the last series in India too..

his recent comments make no sense.. he complains that SL doesnt play enuff tests away.. and then says that the rankings shoudl give diff credit for home and away games.. im not sure if the rankings do.. but if SL dont play enuff away and the away wins are NOT given more credibility.. then isnt that an advantage to SL in the rankings haha..

also his comments were mainly against the FTP... not the rankings so much.

SL has never won a test (forget a series) in AUS IND and SA... i think he should be very happy about the fact that his team has a good opportunity here to become #1 if they beat india 2-0...

anything to back up your support for sanga? how exactly is he RIGHT about the rankings? go on. nah .. nothing.. its just the same ol "boo india boo" nonsense :D
