I hate borrowing anything from anyone

Sometimes I will gladly give/lend stuff out of my own free will but i Hate it when anyone asks me for anything.

Can anyone else relate? :@:

Anyhow, yes, avoiding these kind of activities makes relation 'clean'.

I hate it too, I'm a soft touch when it comes to lending people money ESP, my hubby is totally the opposite, he doesn't bat an eyelid saying no, whilst I cringe with shame! But have to say he always proves me right, who ever had borrowed has always let us down when it comes to returning it, it just affects our relationship then I wish we hadn't lent in the first place

err okay I wasn’t talking about credit cards or borrowing money…i meant things :hehe: like lending someone my clothes or makeup or something.

money is just money, but its when someone wants to borrow something that you really like. There is no way it can mean the same to them, and what if it gets damaged, maybe it was them not being as careful as you would have been, or maybe they were being even more careful than you but it gets damaged, it is not a good feeling either way.

Noe even with money, it depends. I have had issues where i have lent people money and then they dont pay back or i seem to be be on the bottom of their priority list..college days one guy borrowed money and then he would just not pay back to a point it was embarrassing even reminding him and then he would get all huffy about he does not have money and why am I on his case, and i kept telling him okay so start paying me a little bit at a time. finally I got fed up and did a repo man on his electronics. had another bad experience with another desi dude, and had my way to get things level again.

really depends on the individual.

i don't think i will ever lend money again to someone, i had some bad experience with a friend and she totally let me down, she actually told me that i was the own who owed her !

when it comes to other stuff like you mentioned, clothes and make up, i'm always lending something to my elder sisters even if one of them always returns me those things 2 years later, i don't mind, and they always offer me to borrow clothes or nail polish and stuff like that. theres a huge age gap between the 3 of us so i guess we like to fill it by sharing our things

Im quite the opposite!

Me and my friends at uni share our clothes and makeup ALOT without any hesitation , and we all make sure we dry clean the clothes on return, if they get returned.

However this is only amongst a very close group of us its not with everyone.

I had a friend who wud diss my perfume and makeup and yet always use it....granted, whenever i was at her place I'd use her stuff alot too so the using stuff isn't a big deal, i just thot it was odd to keep dissing something but use it.

Not showing off, i don't mind lending somebody but i would hate and hate to borrow from somebody...

I dislike borrowing but I can lend Anything (except my laptop and mobile:bummer: ) with no probs at all.

PS:this lending and borrowing refers to ppl who arent family…

we cousins use clothes.....sandals.... makeup and other accessories of each other with NO probs whtsoever.

I used to lend stuff but people ALWAYS forget to return it & its so annoying to ask for my own thing. And even if they do return it, I cant recognize my own stuff, thats how bad the condition of the thing is.........So, No thank you

I have no problem with lending or borrowing. My very close friends can take and use my stuff whenever they like. No need to ask. Likewise, I do the same with their stuff.

I dont have issue giving out money but its very hard for me to lend my Favt stuff out lolz.

I hate lending and borrowing, even more.
I thought if I wouldn't borrow from people, they wouldn't borrow from me either but I guess it does not work that way :(
They always let me down, I can't say no. I need to find a way to stand up for myself :(

I don’t like borrowing/lending clothes and makeup either. It feels icky… It’s ok if it’s with my sister though.

I tend to be quite possessive about my stuff. I just want people to take good care of it and as long as they do, I am fine with lending my stuff (not clothes/makeup/shoes). Surprisingly enough, I am ok with lending people jewelery, though I don’t often borrow other’s jewelery. I don’t mind lending money as long as I can trust them to return it and most people in my life return it.
