my focus power is normal too i m slightly astigmatistict (sp?) but i dont need glasses for that

I think I am -.25 in right and -.75 (or -1.75) in left 
I am near-sighted but I only use glasses while having difficulty reading the blackboard or very small street signs.

Atleast itâs not embarassing when a girl walks closer to you and you start putting your glasses on I can see them from far too but dhundli dhundli nazar aati hain 
Even the fat ones look slim and sexy until they reach about 5 feet away from me 
And not to mention how many girls complain that I donât wave at them when I see them and when I tell them I couldnât see them cuz I didnât have my glasses on, they donât believe me. Itâs ruining my reputation

my doc told me i cant get contacts cuz prescription isnt strong enuff............is that true ?

Your numbers should be in positive if you use reading glasses.

like close to -6 with a slight astigmatism. my both eyes are different. my sense of depth is soo bad without my glasses. but iâm not blind!

Not for reading books. I can read books fine and can see the computer screen. Itâs just that I canât read whatâs written on the blackboard and of example, if I am driving, I canât see the street name a block ahead of me until I reach it. Or if someone is standing about 100 feet away from me, I can see that itâs a person, but the face is blurry and i canât tell who it is.
Positive numbers are when you need glasses to read books, to read whatâs on your cell phone, or to use the PC. I think.
Sabeila I canât get contacts because I will need to âtake them offâ everytime I have to look closer to read a book or use the computer. Therefore, itâll mess up my sight even more. Since I have to use glasses only every now and then, itâs easier to use glasses rather than to have contacts because you have to use them a very few times. Thatâs what I think.

treatment for that. oh my gosh. That looks like me when i used to be young! i had the same kind of glasses but they were pink i think. and shorter hair. but geeky nonetheless.

Oh god.. I m about to go blind.. My eyes are far-sighted and every year my # increases.. and i m about to go orange coz of all the gajar i been eating.. (yup my parents)
