that's fine. laser destroys the follicles by producing heat in the deeper layers on skin but i don't think you need the cold pack anymore. pink skin for upto 12 hours and some blistering (raised bumps of skin that go down by the next day) are usually typical.
for next time, keep some aloe gel with you and apply it through the day.
for anyone else reading, please get test patched first, it should be part of the consultation appointment. to be completely honest, i would not have treatment anywhere where this is not standard protocol as it suggests less than proper treatment.
temporary side effects should be minimised. they need to trade off effective settings with maintaining the integrity of the skin.
