A man in a tour group thought he had mastered Urdu well enough to speak for himself.With his guide standing by,he approached a couple Pakistanians and struck up an eloquent conversation.The locals,however,didn’t respond to his questions.At length,the villagers began conversing with each other in low voices.
“I give up,” the tourist admitted to the guide.“What are they saying?”
“They’re debating whether your speaking Latin or Spanish.”
