The disney store at the sohpping center was closing today and as a result, everything was 75 % off. So, as expected there were crowds. And not only crowds, they had actually closed off hte store and parents + kids were standing outside in the cold just waiting to get in. I was walking along and this one girl was in tears b/c i guess her fave toys were slowly diminishing and her younger sister was just freely telling me how crowded it was, and etc..and the mother told me it was closing down and today was the last day, etc. Before i walked away, i said “im glad i dont have kids yet” and the lady laughed.. But i felt really bad… but happy. But then sad…but then happy too…i really dread christmas time just b/c even if I wont do any shopping for myself, kids will want stuff no doubt.
I don’t remember ever obsessing over having the best, most popular toys…i was just a big barbie freak :pagli:

A week ago on boxing day I went to the NEXT sale (NEXT= very big shopping store in the UK). Anyways got there by 7 (it was open a 5) thinking 7 come on only an idiot would get up that early. And I swear to you the ques were soo long.
Anyways long story short didnt find much and then started kicking my self in the backside for coming sooo early however my mother found loads and I had to drag her out of the store

The NEXT Sale at all the Preston stores was a huge wrestiling match between groups of "apne waleh" !!!!!!!
Some of them at 10.30am were saying how they'd bene in the store since before fajar!
I bought loads - even if I was unsure I thought best buy it then can always return it later - saves on disappointment.
Online SALE shopping is a no-no as it's mostly impulse buys that I like!

I only woke up once at 5 30 to shop on black friday after thanksgiving. i bought two plasmas (for myself and my parents) and some stuff for my siblings. other than that, i realized its not really that big of a deal.. even after christmas and new years, you'll still find the same prices going down and it's just more relaxed to shop then. i am just simply amazed at people who have the will to wait outside a store for HOURS.. i mean how can you do that especially in such cold, freezing weather..
by the way sara, i wish i had gone to this disney store :( i am a hugeeee disney freak!!!! my room is filled with disney stuffed animals and posters.. its like a mini disneyland as my mom jokes.. oh how i wish i was there to buy more stuff!

listen to this sara.. we were in the mall over the weekend and ofcourse game stop is a must with them two of mine..
so humza wanted to trade in a PS2 game, but they were giving only a dollar worth of credit so i said u kno just keep ur game and play it or give it to someone.. well we walked out the store and i saw him wiping his tears with both hands.. hehheheh
uff i was like hamza u had a lof of fun today reminded him of how many things he had gotten but the tears wont stop. he wanted a game from the store and after all K. the older one put some sense into me and said mom let him buy from hi eidi.. and thats how the tears stopped..
yea think before u have kids but pta kia.. al this becomes totally worth while.. for you as a parent..
