Re: I frosted…omggg…help it hurts…

^ And this right there is your problem. And this is how people screw up their skin when doing chemical peels. B/C they refuse to follow directions and think somehow they’re special. I highly recommend you go back and read all the threads where HOW to do chemical peels has been discusssed to death.

Read the link I’m posting here. This gives you details on what to do when the skin frosts.

http://www.paklinks.com/gs/fashion-and-beauty/546376-i-did-a-glycolic-acid-peel-last-night-and-now-help.html

And you can cry/freak out all you want but it won’t help. No matter how many times you ask us, NONE of us can tell you how your skin will look once it’s healed. The only thing you can do is to follow directions given on the other thread, and see how the skin looks 7-10 days from now.

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

Avoid touching/peeling your skin.....because THAT and going out into the sun without sunblock...can cause it to blemish. Don't use any harsh cleansers...and just use a soothing moisturizer and give it time.

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

if OP wasnt nadz, i would have totally freaked out and chickened my way out of trying out peels

Re: I frosted…omggg…help it hurts…

Why did you leave it on for over 20 minutes pagal larki!! And then you walked away?!?! :smack:

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

Nadz, at this point you should go see a derm if you're really worried. Only a professional will be able to help you and make you feel better i'm sure.

Re: I frosted…omggg…help it hurts…

The answer is in your question.

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

becauseeeeeeeeeeeee i did 18 mins last time and wass fine,

anyway not sure if iv scabbed skin looks fine just feels tight n dry....no brown scabs nothing.

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

Do u know how long 2 mins are?

Turn on the stove and put ure hand on it... For 2 mins.

NO girl! Not for real!!!!

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

If it just feels tight and dry, stop worrying! just moisturize heavily.

Re: I frosted…omggg…help it hurts…

yeh am doing so…but one side of my cheek skin looks wrinkly in one place and tight and red…??

maybe its a burn?:teary1:

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

Please please please for the love of God don't neglect your sunscreen.

You're probably going to feel tight for a while, brown a bit and then shed like crazy.

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

OMG....when does it usually brown...so far no brown....just red

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

Always moisturizes your face for 5-6 hours... Before you put any peels on your face bc then you won't frost... and only leave the peel on for 2-5 mins... I get a chemical peel done from a spa.. I moisturize my face the night before the peel.. the lady puts the peel on my face and when i start to frost she puts the neutralizer over the peel

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

it's times like this i think nadz is a troll.

Re: I frosted...omggg....help it hurts...

^ This is a very dangerous statement b/c this will lead people to think that if they moisturize their face before the peel, they won't experience unintentional frosting. This is not true. From a strictly scientific/chemical point of view, this is a very false statement.

Frosting depends on how long you leave the peel on, what strength the peel is, how sensitive your skin is, whether or not you've used Retin A or other acids before, and how long was it since the last time any acid was applied to the face. Moisturizing the skin does not negate any of this factors.
