get a job

get a hobby (horse back riding, singing, cooking, baking, etc)

start a business

do volunteer work

get involved in a charity or start one of your own

if you spend your days worrying about when you will be married...you won't get married. because no one likes desperation.

find out what you like to do and become passionate about something.

Is this the ultimate goal in a girl's life? to get married? Is that's the only reason Allah has put us on this earth?
I am not saying to stop trying but I just some time wonder why girls or even guys for that matter are so much under pressure of getting married.
Instead of just sulking on why you are not hitched yet, why don't you try to be a productive part of the society? If you are unable to do a job do some humanitarian work, help some one out, guide others etc.
There is so much to life then just having a spouse :)

Don't ya love being a desi girl?

You get scrutinized up and down; you're not good as the next girl because she's a hijabi, and you're not; or she's more religious than you; or has prettier hair or something or the other, God knows, cuz I don't understand the algorithms of their decision making.

My aunt just got my cousin married to this girl who is oh soooo pretty, and she's won like a gazillion awards in school, topping her class, etc.

She's not gonna work. Not sure why they're so interested in how well she did in college or professional school, esp since they plan on having her sit at home and make kababs.

Desi culture makes so much sense. Again.
