It’s already Cicno de Mayo, and the stupid weather in New York is still on the cold side. Every year, by this time, I am done with my planting. This year, it is just not going above 55, and it will kill all my little plants if I planted them today. I think we are going to go straight into summer from a stupid winter.
I wana do some wracking, some soil mixing, some potting. I love this whole experience of planting something and then watching it grow. I also like getting dirty. I never use gloves when working my yard.
I love it too, home depot is my second home and I know all the staff in Home and Garden by name :D We are a bit further South than you and the temp is leveled at about 50-60 day and night.
This year I am in love with Columbine, have a special section for them. Right now the Lilacs are in bloom and you can smell them coming down the street. Lilly of the Valley in the back.
mmmmmm............
btw - no gloves??? How do you keep under the nails from becoming an ugly brown color for a couple of days????
You all need to live in affluent neighborhoods and get a gardner. Madhanee I will lend you my mexican for a few days. He can dig dirt up from anywhere. He is attracted to dirt.
Lol..i live two blocks from Central Park and take my kids there often, but it’s not the same thing. My parents also garden. I grew up in Canada with a big back yard and many fruit trees, vegetable gardens in the Niagara area known as the ‘Garden City’. There’s a huge difference between that and NYC.
