hey guys i need some advice.we purchased a leather sofa set 2 yrs back from The Bricks that came with a free tv deal.So we paid only for the sofa which was like 4200CAD exclusive of GST n 5yr warranty. Now after like 4 months the dye on the loveseat started to fade.it was reported n since we were covered they replaced it with a new one.Now after a yr same prob happened with the Sofa n the chair plus some places on loveseat.the dye started to come off.we reported again n they took more than 10 months just to send a technician.he reported it as unrepairable.
So now they insisted on replacing us with the same set n cancelling our warranty when they themselves admitted that sofas has several dye complains.or giv us 1000.00 cash n we keep everything.
neither was a gud option so we kept arguing. Finally they gav us a chance to reselect but said they’ll deduct the price of the tv.they won’t take it back as there wasn’t anything wrong with the tv.So we ended getting a store credit of 3100CAD (minus current price of tv n cancellation of our warranty.)
My husband thought it was the best of all options so we took it n ended up buying a floor model on clearance with some minor scratches to stay within the given budget.but it keeps bothering me n i feel like we were cheated.
can anyone advice me if i can complain against this or do u think i hav no case n be contend with how its solved.

You should post it in some lawyers forum , you might get some free legal advice.
Hey Mabrook, we never buy anything from the Brick. I think you guys got a good deal, however. 3100 dollars worth of credit is much much better than them not doing anything at all. Some retailers are so frustrating and yes, I know what you mean - you do feel like you’ve been taken advantage of/ripped off. ![]()
Re: i feel like cheated
yes i feel we had to pay for tv when it came as free but they forced us to keep it n then pay for it .plus we had to purchase warranty again with the new sofa.its like they made us suffer for picking the deal with a faulty sofa.well this is my last time buying anything from Bricks too.i'm surprised that they r still selling those models with all the complaints they r still not discontinued.
Mirch can u refer any lawyers forum?i hav found some sites to file a complaint but i dunno if it will b considered since we ourselves accepted this choice.
Re: i feel like cheated
BRICKS sucks big time, when it comes to customer service.
Once the deal is closed they seem to totally ignore you and treat you as a stranger
i had a similar episode with them - but for a much lesser value and intensity. I never ever went back to them after that.
I get my furniture, houseware and electronincs from LEONs and I can vouch for their honesty and customer service, they have an excellent reputation, and whenever I have had any issues with delivery or service or anything else, they have always resolved the matter to my entire satisfaction.
