Have you ever come across a feeling of awe for a certain career? or felt , that a certain career entices you more and makes you wonder what it would be like to follow it?
Please share if you have fancied any profession around , other than your own and tell us the reasons why you fancy them.
I will share my thoughts. For me , nothing beats the Air Force pilot career . I dont know if its the love for uniform, love for the passion and the dedication , the will to sacrifice and protect or any other reason that truly attracts me to it.
Though I have heard that life is tough for an Air Force pilot. Dont know how true that is. I dont know if its a well paid job , but I believe constant training must be part and parcel of the role. Its a high risk job , I think another factor that pulls me towards it. It must be a highly challenging role.
i always wanted to be a pilot, even when i hadn’t seen any airplane in the low in the sky or on the ground, let alone taking a flight.
at nights, i remember lying in my cot in the courtyard in my village and asking my dad if he knew what that moving star was…he used to tell me, since the star is flashing, it must be an airplane. i would then follow that flickering star until the horizon. since my father hadn’t seen an airplane himself, he would reply to my query, about the size of the plane, by saying that it’s as big as our varandah. i would wonder how come the plane [at 37000 feet] looks like a dot in the sky.
i used to tell my self to become the airplane driver [pilot ]
well, i couldn’t become one but i’ve the passion for flying.
I love theme parks and being around happy kids. In an alternate life, where menial labour was paid well and not looked down upon, I would love working in an ice cream shop or a cotton candy stand in a theme park, preferably in the kids zone.
I also love fashion and journalism, so maybe editor of a High Fashion magazine.
Or working in a non-profit organization which involves traveling internationally, lots of people interaction, writing/research, and making a real difference in others' lives.
