One of the most visually stunning films you’re gonna see this year. This one’s a must-see-on-big-screen one too.
Hudson as always gives a top job although I’m disappointed with Basinger’s peformance. She could’ve done a lot better. Eva Marie sometimes steals a scene from her and overall is much better. The story’s based on a true one, an Ialian woman running off to the wilds of Africa in search of adventure.
A beautiful film about life and the universal desire to discover and meet challenges. A must see.
When I saw Kim in the trailer, I was kinda a little disappointed... Whenever there is a movie on Africa with a woman in lead role, it kinda sets the anticipated standard of Out of Africa with Maryl Streep for me. Have you seen that one? But I do intend to watch it though.
Exactly roman, Streep's performance is sorta like a measuring device for these kinda movies. Wow, just seeing Basinger on the trailer got you disappointed, well..don't wanna say anything now but you'll know what I mean once you're outta the plex.
oh yeah, watch some of the locales closely, it was filmed in the same region as streep's.
