lol. the thing is i dont like them and i hate wearing them. are their any alternative outfits a bride could wear? oh and apparently i cant wear a sharara because i’m too tall :frowning: (well thats what my sis and mum keep saying)

umm what does having wearing a sharara have to do with your height i've seen people wear sharara's that are around 6 feet and it looked really good on them..........how tall are you???.........if you really don't want to wear a lengha than you should be able to wear a sharara try one on and show it to your mom and sis and then you can decide how it looks on you

I've seen a few people that wear a long shirt and have like capris under, they're not really capris they're really khulle pants.. the shirt is so long you hardly see them.. my cousin is wearing that, she got her's made my Sana safinaaz and she says that she'll be able to move around much more..

I thought a sharara and lengha were the same thing. What's the difference?

a lengha is a like a skirt while a sharara is sort like pants as it has two split legs not really sure how to describe it here’s a pic of it

i'm 5ft 8ins. i dunno why my mum and sis are saying it wont look good, i love sharara's.

^u know all the models are as tall as you or even taller and they are the once who are wearing the sharara's in fashion shows! ofcourse it will look good:)

question? what is ur body type? mayb thats what ur mom n sis are talking about?

errr... i'm skinny but not that skinny, i.e. i have some junk in my trunk, i'm a uk size 12 (sometimes 14)

u knw wht i m like 5-9 and whnevr i wear sharara i get lot of compliments and i knw dat i look gud :P.. soo if u like it goo for itt

the wedding hasn’t taken place yet.. i might post pictures when it does, got to check with her first:)
i coulden’t find a picture but there’s video, the fist grey one is with one of those trousers..

you have 2 really good options if you don’t like lenags:

1. Farshee gharara
Looks really nice on tall girls, its not a skirt at the bottom, just realllyyyyyy big pants lol!

2. Peshwaas
Looks very regal and elegant, especially on tall girls, and is really in nowadays

i wouldnt mind a peshwaas, it looks gorgeus. i wore an anarkali dress to my cousins wedding 2 years ago and got loads of compliments... ooo i felt special. so i suppose anarkali and pishwaas are sort of similar.. hmmmm.
i dunno bout farshee gharara, those pants look GIRNORMOUS..

i was talking about the really big pants too.. but i think she made her smaller, as it's easier to more around. if you're thinking of going to a designer, they'll surly help you! :) otherwise i'm sure normal shopkeepers with bridal dresses in karachi and lohore (i'm sure other cities too, i've just been to these two! lol) should be able to help you..

wayse, if you rocked peshwaas, why don't you just get one done for your shadi as well.. i found awesome one here, it was from a shop in london.. i'll look for pictures in my shadi folder :P

the good news is that frock style dresses are IN.. so you can get a long flair/ghair wala dress made with a trail if u wish..
that would look really good on someone with a figure like d way u've explained.

HSY has a bridal that IS a long sweeping dress...I KNOW some of you have GOT to have a picture of it.

Its white with copper work on it...absolutely fabulous and equally - if not more - graceful as a lehnga.

A sharara would look lovely, you have the perfect height to carry it off as well.

Can someone pzl post a pic of that dress(long shirt and khulle pants) i want to get it made for may waleema but cant find a pic to show it to my MIL, i would b wearing a farshi gharara on my wedding and want something diffrent for my waleema.
another question is do you ppl think it would look good on me as i have a peer shaped body :( and slightly broader frame :(,i want an anarkali /frok style long shirt with khulle pants..... is it a good idea or not????????????Plzzzzzzzzzz help
