First of all im being told that if you acept a freinds request they can see your private blog? regardless of if they where in my buddy list before this new software change,
and if whoever you add can see the blog then whats the point because i may want to have freinds added but not let them have access to my private blog if that made sense:D
and secondly i can see the veiwy thingy in the blogs on how many times your blog entry has been veiwed
P.s Admins and SOMe mods have a habit of NOT replying to my threads with the answers to my questions if this doesnt get answered i may have to start bugging a few through This thing we call Private Messages :whistling
With the new update of GS software, a few features have changed as to what they were. Though the function has remained the same. As part of such changes, the previously known “Buddylist” is name “Contatcs” now. So if you want your “buddies” to still be able to view your “private” blog. Then you simple add their name to the list of “Contacts”.
This adding works the same way as before.
And with the new additions and changes, we now have a few more new features and improvements. One of which and no doubt the most popular one can be called Reciprocal Friendships Between Users.
So as part of the new social networking system, users can now request that people on their buddy list confirm their friendship, after which time a person’s list of confirmed friends will be viewable to other users. So those members are then added to both your list of “Contacts” and also the list of “Friends”. So those added in your “Friends” list can also view your private blog. If for some reason you don’t want your “Friends” to view your private blog then the only solution right now would be to simply “Remove” them from your “Freinds” list. (that would make them happy for sure)
Right now, there is no possibility to add Contacts and Friends saperately.
Of course, if won’t be surprising to say.. But this feature request will be on the top wish list.
