I don't know where else to post this...

I have a genuine question. I’m not sure if it’s been asked before, and I really hope I don’t get chased out of here (again)…

I love Pakistan and I really do want to see change (for the good) and soon!! But, am I the only one who thinks these protests have been going on for far too long?

Am I the only one who sees this as more of a personal ziddh and not as much “We/ I want what is best for Pakistan”?

I’m just wondering how all of this time and energy, not to mention funds, that are being wasted on a cause that clearly isn’t going to fix anything anytime soon is helping! Why not use this time, energy, and funding to do something good for Pakistan? How is sitting in “the” official chair going to change how good/ bad Pakistan is. Politics are politics are politics. Politicians want us to believe what they believe.

I say, un sab ko bhool jao, and do something that will really get people on your side. Some big improvement for the betterment of Pakistan as a whole. not just a hospital or a school. Something big. As big as the promises being made.

Re: I don’t know where else to post this…

Ps. Please dont turn this into a “I hate Imran Khan” vs “I love Imran Khan” battle :bummer:

Re: I don’t know where else to post this…

Now that you have opened the pandora box, let me think :hmmm:

Wait, what problem you have with his movement / campaign if it is not being funded by pakistan taxpayers money and it has helped awaken the sleeping giant i.e pakistani awam, whether they are burgers, mango people or bun kababs?

Re: I don't know where else to post this...

You are right, this protest is a huge waste of valuable resources, has ruined the beauty of Isloo, and above all is basically only 'kursi ki jang'
If the people leading this protest were sincere and had the intentions of delivering they would have proved their mettle by delivering silently and diligently, by working against the odds like honorable Mr. Edhi.

Re: I don’t know where else to post this…

spot on! Everyone is just hungry for power and fame, if the front and center crowd really wanted to make a difference, it would have occurred by now.

Re: I don't know where else to post this...

I'm actually in favour of this ongoing protest...at least it's keeping the government on its heels. Except the economy of the country getting down...but I'm not sure how much of that is related to the sit-ins.

u love Pakistan ? pahley Imran ko Love karo phir certificate dia ja sakta hay warnah naheen :smokin:

waisey yeh baychara PM banana chahta hey aor kuch nahin yeh bat sub ko pata hey lekin kahtey nahin hein :sunnyboy:

u World Cup bhol gai ho jis ka ronna yah 22 sal sey ro raha hay :cobra:

Re: I don’t know where else to post this…

I don’t any problems with the movement or the reasoning behind it. I’m more concerned if that same reasoning is still the ONLY reason the protests are still going on.

And by misuse of funds, I meant… The money being used on these protests can be used in a better way, no? To do something big. Some major improvement to move Pakistan forward.

My father LOVES IK, he swears everything this man does/ says is perfect. He was bragging that this protest broke the record of the longest protest in history… Is that really something we want to be known for?

Perfect sum up! “Kursi ki jang”. That’s exactly how I see it, unfortunately. I’d honestly love to see some positive outcome from all of this, though!

Re: I don't know where else to post this...

I somewhat agree. I do think it did start with good intentions for the genuine betterment of Pakistan.

Please explain the bold part. I haven't been keeping up with it as much, but how exactly is this happening?

I'm sure it has a lot to do with the drop of economy. Other nations seeing a split within the country, uncontrolled government officials... It's embarrassing. (My personal opinions. No facts to back it up officially.)
